Vision

Through hands-on workshops, panels and mentorship by industry leaders from across the globe in writing, acting, music, new media, and film finance, Creative Lab Hawaii provides entrepreneurs with the business and creative skill sets necessary to monetize their IP and expand distribution channels.

The Creative Industries Division/State of Hawaii, Creative Lab Hawaii includes strategic partnerships with Writers Guild of America, West (WGAw), Producers Guild of America (PGA), Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), International Game Developers Association (IGDA), Film Offices of the Hawaiian Islands (FOHI), The Cut Collective, Secret Road, Hawaii Songwriting Festival and the High Technology Development Corporation (HTDC). Together with its sponsors, Creative Lab Hawaii is envisioned as a “pop up” creative accelerator to further develop skill sets of content creators in all aspects of creative media.

Creative Lab Hawaii seeks to position Hawaii as a nexus of creative media development with high growth potential worthy of investment capital.

Envisioned as a key node in the state’s HI Growth Initiative, Creative Lab Hawaii is a launch point for creative teams from around the world to develop products and launch businesses, providing a pipeline for local investment in content development through the establishment of a Hawaii Creative Media Fund.
