The Creative Lab Hawaii Program is a feeder program for DBEDT’s technology and creative industries development and also provides a pipeline of talent for public/private accelerator programs developed through the Hawaii Strategic Development Corporation (HSDC), and the High Technology Development Corporation (HTDC), both attached agencies to the State of Hawaii, Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism (DBEDT).
Founded by the Creative Industries Division/DBEDT (CID) in 2012, Creative Lab Hawaii includes strategic partnerships with Writers Guild of America, West (WGAw), Producers Guild of America (PGA), Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), International Game Developers Association (IGDA), Film Offices of the Hawaiian Islands (FOHI), The Cut Collective, Secret Road and Hawaii Songwriting Festival. CLH Programs increases opportunities for investment and global export of knowledge-based products and services with a focus on the fields of Screenwriting, Broadband/New Media, Producing, Interactive Media, Music, and Fashion Design.
