City Launches $10 million O’ahu Business Recovery Grant Program

Aloha!The City and County of Honolulu, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii, are pleased to announce the NEW O’ahu Business Recovery (OBR) grant for small businesses that have experienced increased costs, a decline in income, or shut down due to the pandemic.The OBR grant is a $10 million program with grants ranging in size from $15,000 – $50,000. The Chamber of Commerce Hawaii will distribute the grants made available through the City and County of Honolulu.Who Qualifies:If you answer “YES” to the following questions, you may be eligible to apply!

How to Qualify:

  • The primary way to qualify will be submitting tax form documentation showing at least 25% drop in net income from 2019 – 2020. See document checklist attached.
  • This is not a reimbursement program, so businesses will not have to produce receipts of purchases.

The application portal will open on Monday, January 30 at RevitalizeOahu.org/OahuBizGrant. The City and County of Honolulu and the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii will be hosting an application webinar on Wednesday, January 11 at 2:00 PM. You can access the webinar at facebook.com/oer.honoluluGrant applications from 400 small businesses on O’ahu will be accepted before the portal closes and applications are reviewed. Grant funding will be paid out on a first-come, first serve basis until all grant funds are exhausted.
